NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Lauren Alaina will make her way, inch by inch, to her 18th birthday (Nov 8) when she embarks on an 18-city tour in support of her current single “Eighteen Inches.” Lauren is teaming up with local charities and the Special Olympics to donate a portion of each sale of her limited edition 18-City Inch-By-Inch Tour t-shirt. Lauren is trying to make a difference city-by-city, inch-by-inch.

“Eighteen Inches,” co-written by Carrie Underwood, Kelley Lovelace and Ashley Gorley, has hit the Top 40 on the country singles chart and is steadily rising.

The Mercury Nashville/19 Recordings/Interscope artist  and American Idol Season 10 runner up released her debut album Wildflower and it landed at No. 2 on the Billboard’s Top Country Album chart and an impressive No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200. She became the youngest female artist to debut this high on the Billboard charts since LeAnn Rimes' debut 15 years ago and is the best-selling country female debut since 2006. She landed her first major tour opening for fellow Georgia natives Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan for Aldean’s “My Kinda Party” Arena Tour and has just finished opening for Sugarland’s “In Your Hands” tour.  Alaina has received multiple award nominations this year including two TEEN CHOICE nominations and the CMT Music Awards “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year” for her top 30 hit “Georgia Peaches.”
