On Wednesday, August 28, Lauren Alaina and Bailee Madison teamed up with Vera Bradley, Inc. and Blessings in a Backpack to host a back-to-school carnival and distributed 475 backpacks with weekend food kits to students at Whitsitt Elementary School.
In addition to partnering with Blessings in a Backpack to provide school bags and fun festivities for students, Vera Bradley is matching donations to Blessings in a Backpack up to $50,000. The event in Nashville will be the first of two this week featuring Alaina’s support, as she will team up with Vera Bradley and Blessings in a backpack on Friday, August 30 to assemble 5,000 school bags for local students.
